    I just unchecked usbdebugging on my Xoom and you don't get the string of numbers, rechecked it and the numbers came up. I'll look around and see if I can find a way around this.

    I did find this and I didn't see uab debugging mentioned.

    still no luck with the cornea program. it can't seem to find my device either

    the help is great and thanks for ya help much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!
    although my xoom seems to be found by my computer if i let it boot to the password screen. but if i put it in fastboot mode the computer does not find it.
    what does the chap mean on xda i am not quite sure if im doing right. im still going into cmd right? please a step by step idiots guide if you could because i must be missing something simple

    I'm not sure either, I asked him in the thread over at XDA.

    Here's his reply.
    Install the sdk then.

    It's exactly the same, the only reason you need 'USB Debugging' enabled, is to be able to reboot into the bootloader.

    So to skip that, just choose fastboot from menu in the bootloader, which the user has obviously been able to get into.
