    Question : How to allow ad-hoc on non-rooted Xoom ?

    Hi, is it possible ? Can I allow ad-hoc on non-rooted Xoom ? I think it could work via SDK or command line etc. , but I don't know, how to do it. So...any ideas ?

    To gain access to the system files you need root.

    Here's the adb way. But you still need root to push to system.

    Do a little research on rooting and if ya have more questions just let us know. Steady has a good guide in the development section.

    I don't want to wipe all of my Xoom data. I'd like root without wiping...

    Just backup all your photos and documents to your computer through USB. Then unlock/root and restore the documents back. This doesn't help with game saves or anything, but just give you more reason to replay the game and do even better this time around.
