    Tethering via Symbian cell phones

Hi this is my first post to the site, I recently bought my XOOM and enjoying so much.

I want to learn if there are anyone could tether via Bluetooth from a Symbian phone (I have Nokia E71 and N79)? I have free data package (of 2 GB per month) on my company cell phone but because of not having support for ad-hoc networks I can not use it as a wireless connection for XOOM. (I use joikuspot for wireless tethering)

If there is a way to do so it will be so much good!

    Thanks.

    Hayri.

Welcome to the forum. Don't know about the Nokia, but if rooting is an option for you, it would allow your Xoom to connect to adhoc networks.

Every Xoom can be rooted. But you won't see anything anywhere on the device mentioning it. It's in the most basic sense, unlocking it for admin rights on the device.

That statement was made months before the XFE came out, you're playing devils advocate.
