Newbie here...just got my Xoom Oct 7th. I bought a new Belkin N300 router the next day and it connected but it was very spotty. Lots of disconnect/reconnect frustration....sometimes several times in just a few minutes. My Xoom wifi only 3.2.1 worked SO much better at Starbucks or anywhere except my house! I returned the router to Fry's and got a Netgear Dual Band N600 and the results out of the box were night and day. I'm not a techie so I suppose I could have tried to mess with the router settings on the Belkin but decided to swap it. Glad I did....now I can watch streaming video from India or You Tube with no freeze ups. The Belkin was truly pathetic.

Welcome to the forum.
Glad you decided to join us. I think you might of had a bad router. I've had 2 Belkin routers with no problems at all. The latest is a Belkin N600 Dual band which is similar to your N300 and it works flawlessly on either band.
