Still trying to push forward in more ways than one, as an update. I've been tweaking around on Safestrap with little bits of help from hashcode, for one. Idea #2 bouncing around is fairly advanced, but I started a new thread on it with an idea/concept that sounds promising about hash collisions. It's a far out idea, but it actually makes a bit of sense. At this point, I'm open to any and all ideas.
I know when I deleted the sdcard file in /bin it stop reformatting it on boot, but since I'm a linux super rookie I didn't know how to link it back to the data/media and nothing would install from market. Is there a way to edit that to load the bootstrap?
Good news people! Motorola said unlockable bootloader details are to come...... but didn't we hear this over a year ago then we got nothing. Maybe they are serious this time......![]()

hello, I just joined and wanted to say that I have a xoom 2 me mz608 16 gb and no external sd, the bootloader is unlocked. when I connect it to the PC recognizes it as droid Xyboard 8.2 and when I installed MotoCast recognized him as mz609.
I have not received upgrade to ics and these are the screenshots of the xoom. I also copied from terminal emulator system.img boot.img recovery.img. the recovery I 've flashed from fastboot and' I got it from the files of the mz609 because I had tried to flash the xoom recoverymod of course that did not go well. the question is with this bootloader unlocked one can build a recovery mod? I used builder online recovery but the recovery that gave me back was not right. sorry for my English but I use google translate.
