Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. Are you using a file manager to look at the micro sdcard on your Xoom? The sdcards are not hot swappable, you need to turn the Xoom off to insert or take it out. Also the card needs to be formatted in fat32. Try a soft reboot, press and hold the power button and the volume up button together until the Xoom starts to reboot, then release them both. Once rebooted see if you can see the sdcard using a file manager of your choice.

welcome to the site! it would help us to figure this out if you provide more info. Did it ever work or is this the first time you are trying it? What xoom do you have, 3g, 4g, wifi, USA or other? Is it rooted and if so what ROM is it running? If it is a stock US xoom then you should power it down, install the sd card and when you power it back up it should get mounted as long as you are at version 3.2 or above. How are you trying to access it to see if it sees the card? Also, it must be formatted for FAT32 to work correctly in the xoom. Post back and we will see if we can figure it out.

Thank you for your quick reply.
Yes before it was running. But I had a problem with my xoom it would turn on and start. So I send it to the Agent for repair. The agent, as he said, changed the cpu board. And from then the Xoom did not read the SD card. In the storage menu it only shows internal storage although the SD card is inserted. My Xoom is 3g (not USA)but I am currently using it only wifi. And I have a file manager application.Android version : 3.0.1

You'll need to turn your data or wifi on to get your OTA updates. OS 3.2 enabled sdcard support.

Turn either your data or wifi on and the updates should start, sometimes it takes a bit of time. But if you had sdcard support prior to the cpu change you should get the OTA's.
