printing from xoom to hp3025a printer using printershare key

i just purchased a wireless printer so i can print from xoom...we do not have a computer just xoom. i installednprintershare ky but when i go print using it the xoom cannot find wireless printer. it scans and says not found... how can i get xoom to recognize printer? xoom usesnour cellukarnservice so i do not have a router or anything...just want to be able to print email..sounds easy...help...not real computer savy so need detaiked directions....thanks...

I use printershare but both my printer and Xoom are connected to a WIFI router. Not sure if the the Xoom can connect to a wireless printer directly without rooting.

i use the hp3050 wireless printer.

wireless printers are designed to be used on home wireless networks

for it to print, you need to connect it to the wifi network shared by Xoom using a pc. Install the printer software, go into settings, and configure the wifi, once done, and printer is sucessfully connected to network, the printershare will find it on network, and install the required driver for mobile printing

for what you want to do you need either a bt or usb printer. try an adapter for the printer's usb cable, connect it to the Xoom usb cable, then let printershare find the usb printer

printershare has a browser built in. you open printershare and there are selections for what you want to print and one of them is www pages. works ok.

Best and most efficient way is to have your wireless printer hooked up to wifi and assign an reprint email address (if HP). Once set up you just email your print job to your printer.

I think your cheapest way would be to buy the cheapest wifi router you can find, even an old one from a friend, connect the printer to it and turn on wifi on your xoom when you need to print and use printshare. Since you use cell service for your connection you would have to download the email then turn on wifi, print it then turn wifi off so the xoom will switch back to cell service. A bit complicated but its the only way i can come up with to work. Not sure the xoom would recognize the printer on a usb connection as Rive suggested but it might also work.

All you need to do is email the page/document to the printer from wherever in the world you are.
