getting stopped messages on my xoom

I am starting to get a lot of stop messages on my xoom tablet:
unfortunately gmail has stopped
unfortunately andriod keyboard has stopped
unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped

how can I correct this?

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. Go to menu>settings>apps>all>clear the data and reboot. Press and hold the power button and the volume up button together until the Xoom starts to reboot, then release them both.

I went to settings>apps>all. Am I supposed to be clearing the data on all the apps and if so how do I do this? Or am I supposed to be clearing data on the individual apps? I tried the keyboard but it didnt work.

You clear the data and cache on the individual apps and do a soft reboot.

Have you done anything to your xoom? I'm running an older ICS ROM and have been getting more of those alerts lately. Time to upgrade my ROM is what that tells me.

I am running into the same - I deleted all of my apps, no good, unchecking the sync solved one of the wifi 'stopped' problems - still getting stopped keyboard and stopped com.google.process.... I did all of the reboot BUT at the end of it all I get a picture of a dead android with its chassis open and an exclamation mark - how cool is that?? Any suggestions??

Yep - done it all. At the end I get an android on its side with a panel open and an exclamation point - kinda cool but it sucks too!

That's the stock recovery, you're not letting the buttons go soon enough. Press and hold the power button and the volume up button together until the Xoom starts to reboot, then release them both.
