    hi again, its the regular xoom, ive done a factory reset, ive spent lots of time on the internet looking for answers, it does seem to me that many xoom's don't play youtube vids, updating to ics seems to open another can of worms in itself, to me the xoom should work out of the box, it comes with the youtube app pre installed, so it should play them, but its tooooo slow to play anything that moves, if a cheep £70 tab can , is it too much to ask for the xoom to work, without formatting, flashing, ect/ect, mine was brand new never been messed with, and its terrible

    Even PRIOR to rooting and making the Xoom totally awesome, my personal out of the box experience had none of the issues you describe. With regards to YouTube, verify that you have the Flash app installed. With regards to the 'slow' speed, are you running 3G/4G? Have you tried running on WiFi to see if there's a difference?

    There are thousands of Xooms running without your issues, so I'd say it's a defective unit, or trainee trouble.

    i agree completely. you just have a problem with your unit. return it and get them to take care of the proper repairs. i've been using mine since they were released without any problems and certainly nothing like you have described you are experiencing. take a look around this forum and you'll see that you are certainly in the minority. the xoom is a real nice piece of equipment even in stock form.

    You probably have a slow connection on your router, my youtube app worked on Honey Comb, ICS and it's working on JB just fine.

    hi, no my wifi connection is fine, runs 2 laptops and onda tablet no problems at all, the only good thing the xoom as is an half decent camera, it does take a good picture, apart from that its a brick

    What can we do to help you improve your experience? There are possible improvement options with rooting and custom roms. How far would you like to go? Or were you just looking to vent not to problem solve? Which I can also understand why you would do if you are having the problems you are having. As you may know by now it is far from a common issue, so I see two options, warranty replace, or root and rom.

    ive been looking into this , and it seems it may be my router though all my other devices work fine , the xoom does have problems with wep

    Try changing your routers channel. Change it and then test until you have a good channel.
