    Please help (data connection problem)!!!

    Hi fellow Xoomers.
I don't know when exactly did the problem start but I'll try to keep it short.

I somehow lost my IMEI, baseband and anything that'd Allow me to use my carrier data plan.
All I can say is, I kept trying multiple ROMs and I guess about the time I tried my second or third this problem occurred.

I've tried re-flashing original system image (International - supports Middle East) but that, too, didn't work.
I've tried restoring a CWM backup made last time I recall SIM card worked but it said MD5 is different or something like that.

I don't know what to do or where to start.
I've been in this dilemma for over 5 months and still didn't find a solution.
All I found were dead links for what's called "SBF" and said to fix it even though I don't know what to do with it.

I beg you please, PLEASE, help me!!!

I currently am on the latest Nightly build.
    Would it help trying v1.0.0?

    Sorry for the late reply.
I went to school and just got back.

    If 3G Not Working:
    - In Access Point Names changed "APN Type" to "default, supl"; and
    - then changed "Authentication Type"
    to "None"; and
    - 3G will started working.

    Confirmation at Post #8 here[/B]

Where exactly can I find the APN Type to modify?
I've been looking under "Wireless & Networks" tab for a while and can't seem to find it.

EDIT: I googled the location of this setting and went to: Wireless & Networks/More/Mobile Networks.
    This is what I've found.

I'm puzzled as it says CDMA under "System Select" while I'm on the Euro umts ROM.

    Thread page.
Nightly builds page (same as yours).

I've contacted a member from XDA who has the software images (Android v3.0.1) with SBF files embedded to them.
I'll be downloading it and see what happens once back from school.

Are SBF files full software images or just a flash able file to restore IMEI and baseband?
Meaning, would I need to Factory Reset my Xoom before that, throgh CWM or ADB, and which Android version would I end up with?

When, hopefully, this problem is fixed, can I upgrade (if downgraded) to EOS umts nightlies while keeping IMEI and baseband?

Download interrupted so I ended up using your link.
Thanks for posting it : )

How to install the essential files needed to flash back to an original stock ROM SBF.
This is necessary when you get stuck in the proverbial "bootloop".

Step is similar to this tutorial :

    Part II:

    Flashing the SBF:

How to flash the SBF: here

That link will link it back to Xoomforum: "Thanks to Steady Hawkin over at the Xoom forums for this on"

    Flashing the SBF:

    • Run RSD Lite as Admin
    • Power off your Xoom, press volume up and power at the same time until the device starts. It should boot with "Starting RSD protocol support 3"
    • Connect your supplied USB cable (I say supplied because 3rd party cables can cause issues)
    • Browse to the SBF file you extracted in the filename box (use the ... button to select)
    • Click on Port 1 and select Show Device. If it looks similar to the below image (Device and File Properties are both populated) you are all set
    • Click Run

    Gd Luck
