Deleted stock apps, how to get it back?
So yeah, I was basically being stupid and mucking around the internal storage files. I went into the "downloads" section and thought to my self that it wouldn't be bad idea to clear up some storage room. I started deleting a lot of files, most which I thought were just ones I myself got from the internet (pictures, resume, university readings etc...).
Then straight after that I realised one of my apps (Movie studio) was not functioning anymore. I could click the icon all I want but it kept giving me a message "application not installed". I tried searching for it in the market store, but it does not even register that I have had the app, its like its never existed. Furthermore today I tried going on to YouTube (website) and it would not even give me a loading bar, it would just show a "blue square" as if I do not have the flash player to use the video.
I have no clue what exactly caused this, but I assume it must have to do something with me going to town on the downloads storage section.
Anyways if you know of a way of restoring back "stock apps" without having to root your device (I do not usually like mucking about with sensitive storage information, because I cause stuff like this lol), please let me know. Cheers!

I think if you do a factory reset all the default apps will load again from the servers but you would need to back up all your data first.
Isn't that just Google Play Movies which is installed by default? Seems to be on mine and is available from the play store :

Strange....I tried to find Google Play Movies and it doesn't even show me that application at all! Very strange!
Anyways looks like I'll have to just perform a backup and restore. Coincidentally, what do you recon would be the best way to back up apps on the XOOM?

Where are you in the world?
I will see if I can pull the apk off mine and give you a dropbox link: let you know later

Ok, cant seem to do that so I think you will have to do a factory reset but if you still can't get flash I can certainly give you a share link for that
Before you do a reset, have you tried accessing the playstore through the browser, finding movies and then loading to your xoom from there? sometimes that will work if you cant see an app using the playstore app on your device.

First of all go into the xoom settings - backup and reset and check both backup my data and automatic restore. This will back up your apps to google servers and they should redownload when you factory reset but this won't back up personal data and files just the apps so make a back up of all those to your pc or sd card.
I also use an app called App backup & restore to back up all my apps again as I have had occasions when the google server doesn't back up all my old apps BUT another poster has had a problem using this app recently although I used it this morning ok so have a look in the play store for other back up apps.

Movie studio is a different app then play movies. If I am not mistaken movie studio is a movie editing app built in to honeycomb. I haven't had it since I loaded a custom rom the first time.

Ah right, never had that on mine so not sure it was preloaded?

Anyways, I just tried your recommendation...lol it doesn't look like Google really remembered any settings on any of the apps and on top of that "Movie studios" didn't get factory reinstalled, which is strange because everything else was....has it perhaps gone obsolete since ICS? I only remember it not working, after I done the update on the tablet. That could be a possible explanation. What do you guys think?

I just checked my wife's nexus s on stock jellybean and it still has movie studio on it.
