Australian based WiFi only xoom, running 3.1 root?

Hi again,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there is a root guide out for the australian WiFi only xoom running 3.1? I have heard alot about how the different regions have different files on them, and therefore the same root guide cannot be used. I'm new to all this sort of stuff- well using android anyways! I'm hoping to learn much more from these forums, and I realise that this may be a "newbie" question, but I'm keen to root my xoom! Any help would be much appreciated!

So austmini, did the root work, I would like to have a go?

I have had no luck. After flashing recovery I can't boot CWM. If i use the button shortcut, I just get NvFlash as my option, not CWM. If I reboot into the OS and use adb to reboot into recovery I just get the caution android symbol. Has anybody else got these on the aussie model?

Welcome to the forum.Glad you decided to join us. Have you tried to keep tapping the volume down button? You should get several options in the upper left of your screen, also you need sdcard support for this guide.
