If you normally always keep it on, switch it off and on to refresh it, this usually helps or if you do switch it off regularly then do a soft reset - hold volume up and power button till m logo appears, this sorts masses of things. they sometimes get laggy because they are tired and overloaded, clearing caches often helps too.

Have you downloaded any apps recently? I have often found that an app which works well for others won't for me, presumably because it fights with something I have already installed, live wallpapers are notorious for this

Yeah I do install new apps a lot, then delete them! My kids do it more than me, they pick it up to play a game, ten minutes later there are 6 new games installed! I will try the soft reset above, I do tend to switch it off less these days although I often reboot when it does get laggy.

    no ics

I am on a XOOM mz601 3g, using 3.2 mine may also be a 'grey' import. How can I tell if mine thinks it is American? Getting quite impatient for ics now, as are a lot of people I now see. :-)

If you have a 601 in your settings and you can access 3g in the UK, you are not a US import, the radio thingies to enable 3g are different for the 2 countries.
Have patience, it's not that fantastic and we will get it.

I bought mine in Hong Kong, where I had a 3g plan, but i haven't tried to use any provider here in the UK and just use wifi. build number is H.6.1-17_CN-54. which I can't find on the motodev page. But yes, I should just wait for general update to ICS, must be coming one day!

dun be too high hope on upgrading to ICS. We experienced how Motorola treat Non-USA users when upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1,

The US user already got 4.04 but we still dun get a approx. date. Look at Asus, their products came out later than Xoom already got the update and it is worldwide. What Motorola did? telling us wait.

I guess this will be my last Motorola's product. dun worth to buy products from a company that is slow and super poor customer services.

I agree with you there. Motorola's ICS update page hasn't changed its status for the UK. It still states quarter 2 for ICS which will be up in June. If it happens in June then we are 6 months behind the US. Last time I will be buying anything by Moto.

Motorola have had a terrible track record with software updates. the miletone 1 & 2 both failed to get any support. knowing this i still brought my xoom... why! because it was 50% cheaper than asus equivilent. 4.0 update will come but i wouldnt expect anymore updates.

is there any update on the ics update for uk users? the lag is getting ubareable for me and i am concidering selling my xoom and buying a ipad 2 i am getting fed up of this, judt typing this message takes nearly 5 minuites, longer messages takes forever too, i get lag on both stock browser and dolphin so i cant escape it, something like typing a message should only take a couple of seconds like on a pc using a keyboard but with a xoom and honeycomb it takes up to 10 minuites, it shouldnt be taking this long, just editing a spelling mistake takes ages for the lag to stop so i can correct the mistake and if i am typing in a rrush its fustrating, its so bad that i feel like throwing this peice of junk at a wall and stamping on it.i
    wo
nt do that i will just sell this heap of junk buy a ipad 2 and jailbreak it in 1 click unlikce this xoom ehich you have to go through hoops to root.

i will leave the writing like this just o show you how bad it is.
