Rooting and changing speed to 1.6ghz - can it play 1080p MKVs?

Hi, loving my xoom - had for about 4 weeks. Waiting patiently for the ICS update.

My biggest problem though is the lack of power to play back smoothly MKV video files. I know I can covert to Mp4 but this takes ages and I can't be bothered.

I was wondering if anyone with their device rooted and overclocked can tell me if the extra oomph allows them to play high def MKV files smoothly

Or BBC iplayer in HD - this it stupidly slow.?

I had problems with "some" 1080p mkv and I tested some players. "DICE Player" run all mkv videos even slow one.

using dice and it struggles with 1080 or 720 mkv files. its does seem to do better than other players though. Can i ask what file sizes you are using and if you have any specific settings in dice you are using.

Yeah no improvement, but also Mobo player is a little more fussy than Dice
