Help!!! US Xoom in Germany

Hello,
I recently purchases my US Xoom while in CA (planning on using it while travelling). Loaded some apps on it, including some movies from the Google Play store, which I did pin on my tablet for later viewing. Problem: hit Germany, movies became unpinned (how???) and when I went to re-pin them, they are not available in this country, AND Google Play (movies) is not available here. Also, wi-fi reduced to a crawl....tried to Hulu here, and while my laptop can get it, when I tried to get it on my Xoom, I was allowed to purchase Hulu Plus, but then not allowed to install it on my laptop..... Can't find any info/assistance...very frustrated...Bought it to use on my deployment as I spend alot of time in the air.....What do I do with it now besides use it as a shiny coaster?

Hello and welcome to the forums, I would suggest you sell the device online and purchase one from you're country Make sure to back everything up and erase.

The problem here isn't the Xoom itself, but rather the epidemic Geographic Discrimination with media services.

All of the services you've stated are US-ONLY (because the US is, sadly, a breeding ground for fascists and Copyright Nazis, who see "the rest of the world" as irrelevant). Your Xoom will still do everything it was designed to do, only you will not be able to use these US-specific services outside of the US.... unless you use a US Proxy! A Google Search will get you the information you need, and you'll soon be enjoying the US-only content again.
