XOOM and Europe is getting worse!!

Okay i my name is nick and i live in Europe.Greece to be specific. It is obvious i have bought a Motorola XOOM(MZ601), today actually...
I have read most of the <uk xoom problem> threads as many of you also have, but this is getting unacceptable!im booting up the tablet...and it has no Google Books app. okay,... "it's a usa application" ,so i dont have Books...big deal! SURE!
The xoom has no Books,no Movie Studio,market has no "honeycomb apps",Google Maps is old version(no 3D at all) and i'm stuck in 3.0.1 and can't update to 3.1. It cannot read my SIM and the worst of all is that there is no video player!!! For gods sake! But it's not just the application of the player-after all i could "fix" this by downloading another video/media player- but the issue seems to be something with the software...i dunno? codecs or something?! I cant even play a video file with any other media player. I have tried 3-4 "alternative" apps and they crash!(on avi and mp4 formats) I also cant view any video online in HD,both through browser and Youtube app, i am stuck up to "HQ".
i should be grateful that camera's videos are -still- playable!!
This is rediculous. I have been waiting for it since January-not to say more-and then paid so much money to be missing basic things?
I'm not writing this to the forum to be told a solution.This is clearly a Google issue!,and i am probably not the only one with this problem.
But ,like someone said, folks from either Moto or Google might take a look in here... and i do want to hear your thoughts :P

1 The Youtube app was also old version.No "Wall" view at all. Somehow it got fixed after system factory reset .But only this. None of the others.
2 when i open some of the downloaded media players, sometimes the xoom stops playback through headphones and plays through speakers !
3 I dont intend rooting the device. not at all!

Have you posted your concerns on Motorola's official forum? Can't you get Kindle or Nook for books?

i'll go post it now,though i dont think Motorola has anything to do about this. this is clearly a software problem
i can use kindle , but that's not what concerns me right now...

i have already tried Rockplayer which crashes while playing (mp4 )videos. i have also tried playing a movie and either it slided screenshots or it was playing in slow motion

Very strange. My stock player plays mp4s.

true...it is very strange.the thing is i dont have a stock player.nothing.just the "Music" player. it could be a problem in the "video part" of the OS ,or something like that, explaining the crashes on the other players and the disability to play HD videos online. O.O
(NOTE: there must be more things missing that i havent found yet. for instance i've seen on videos a "Movies" app, which of course i dont have...:/ )

My stock player played nothing, i had to use moboplayer and dowload all the plugins for it, now everything play in that or RP.

I'd wait until you get the 3.1 update before getting too far ahead of yourself, it fixes a ton of issues with hesitation and stuttering + others.

Moboplayer doesn't work at all for me. It instantly force closes. The Movie app is strictly for U.S. Xooms I think. Where did you buy your Xoom from? It is supposed to have a Gallery app that plays videos.
