Why are UK users being screwed?

I've had my xoom since the first week of release here in the UK and still no 3.1 update, WTF is that all about?
To add insult to injury there is still no news on when SD slot will be activated?
I for one am pretty pissed off to have paid a lot of money to a company that treats it's users like crap, where do we
consumers stand with regard to refunds as we are not getting what we paid for?
I like the damn thing but want the full spec I paid for!

I only wish that MOTO would Leak Out the prommised SD card slot on xoom #1. Who knows maby when xoom 3 comes out they will decide to finish xoom #1. MOTO also promised a 4G upgrade on xoom #1. Now I see xoom #2 is called XOOM 4G!. I guess we will now have to buy xoom #4 to get our 4G, or was it #3? I am so confused!!!!!. All I know is I got xoom #1. I hope MOTO clears this up some time!. I seem to recall I was promised something anyway!. These guys should run for Congress!

I don't understand it at all, I have the wifi version, which surely is exactly the same as the US models, I don't know why it is being held back!

I got tired of waiting too so thought sod it and rooted a few days ago. Now I have a working SD card slot, 3.1, an overclocked processor and USB host support. Sorted.

Why do you think only the UK is being affected? Every country that is not the US is similarily affected and in many ways, Canada has the most in common with the US as far as access to various products and services are concerned. We are all similarily screwed here and we are all waiting. I also beieve Canada has has it before the UK so it isn't even a question timeline here.

Wifi xooms outside the US are not GED (google experience devices)... therefore any update we get will always be months behind the US. I went from stock UK 3.0.1 to rooted US 3.1 yesterday with no problems. If anybody needs help I'm here....

They are both easy. 3G is probably easier as more people are doing that, or doing guides/updates that will put 3G on both... that said is it different for CDMA/GSM? Dunno.. would have to check.. sure somebody must have rooted a UK 3G?

Personally I wanted a WiFi update, to keep it as stock as possible. Just been playing with settings and UK keyboard is there, but locale is fixed at US.... that has not been an issue so far...
