I just used the 'Oxford' process once again to do the 2 recent Xooms I bought, worked perferctly like it did 2 years ago, all at 4.1.2 now.

SHOUT of thanks to Oxford for having the time and putting forth the effort for providing us with this invaluable guide. After raking two weeks to read every post on this string before stepping out to give it a go. Done in 20mins! Now running 4.1.2! Thank you!

I would say welcome to the forum but I see you have been here for nearly 2 years now! You had the Xoom that long and only now decide to Gedify it?

No, actually I bought a second one for my wife on eBay that turned out to be a demo build from Brazil of all places. My Gedify was a forced task so to speak. First experience with rooting, flashing etc. Thank you to you as well Vicoaster for all of your help in this string as well.

Happy to return a little to a great forum!

I wonder if there will be a small resurgence as used Xooms appear on the market, locally I see them on for sale and for the price they are a great buy.

I hope so as well. I would certainly pick up a couple more if I could afford it. This situation started out as a Nexus 7 gb I got for my wife for Christmas. She cracked it within a week. I probably will study up on how to replace that screen next. I have plans to keep that thing in my tackle box!
