WOW it's getting ridiculous, Canadians are left in the dust. I give 2 more months and if there's no updates I will try to return my xoom.
I should not need to root my xoom in order to have access to the sd card.

I'm in canada as well and this is getting very annoying. I remember reading somewhere on these forums its going to take another 3+ weeks for canada to get 3.1.
What bothers me more is the fact it will probably take even longer for us to get ics and the fact we may not even get ics in canada.
Why wouldn't you get ICS? Moved to Non-US forum.
SDcard System Image Backup Using ClockworkMod Recovery v3.2.0.0.(RC4). Back yours up today!
Well based on how things are going for this update, no announcment for canadian release besides *soon* . Even if we do get it, it will probably be 4 months after the US xoom.
The insider scoop that I got was three weeks. Believe it or not, Google appears to have control when the update gets rolled out. It also does not help when an issue is discovered at the last minute before the update gets released which pushes it out even further.
google or not I'm never buying a motorola product again.
If I felt this way I would return it now, most of what the updates provide (from my perspective) don't fundamentally change the Xoom experience, even without the updates the Canadian Xoom does all you would expect it to, only the SD card support is missing.
BTW, you do not need to root to gain access to the SD card, just flash the US firmware... I decided not to wait any longer and this is what I did.
Apple pays for the Canadian Government to place a policy that restricts Google from releasing some Software and features in Canada, that's why Google and Motorola is taking time to review and create a specific limited software update for Canadian Xooms. It is not Motorola's fault that they have the original honeycomb software, not edited like other tablets.
