Probably part of asus custom honeycomb.

The screen is supposed to be way better than the xoom. I am debating returning the xoom (when it gets here) and going with an eeepad

Ouch. $399. Does that mean 32GB will be $499? And maybe the version with the keyboard dock will be $599? Suddenly that thing is even more interesting.

I do think, though, that they're putting a custom skin on the thing, which I just do NOT like. I don't want to wait for updates because Asus has to rewrite their custom UI.

Darn, this is a tough call right now.

it does weigh a little bit more than the xoom, but has the same dimensions.

More than happy with my xoom.

That does seem like a great deal though.

The Eee Pad Transformer is a great looking device, and quite a good price. $399.99 is definitely the price to be for higher-end tablets. What makes this a great tablet is the possibility of it being lowered down to $299.99 at the 6 month mark. Unfortunately I feel that the Motorola Xoom's price is the main factor why sales won't be soaring. It's very expensive...

I have to say: if they release this thing with 32GB wifi-only and the keyboard dock included for $599, I don't think I'd be able to turn it down. I love my Xoom, but that's pretty compelling.

Yep, me too! Of course, another consideration is if Costco sells this. I don't like buying electronics like this without that return policy--it just takes longer than 30 days sometimes to see how a device like this works out (e.g., will updates be released, how is it supported, etc.). If it's not sold at Costco or Sam's Club, I won't buy it.
