    tried masqed crusader, no speed increase.
    did not try setdns.
    trying to get apn settings to save. its weird. i have data, can download and am getting emails, but apn is blank and if i add new, enter the info and click save, the apn list is still blank.

    When it last happen? After you flash rom?

    Try to use only Masqed Crusader without 3g optimizer.
    Will you get the apn?
