Pavtube Products' Crop Function to help you getting Full Screen playback effect

When we watch movies or TV episodes on tablets or television, the videographic image often has mattes (black bars) above and below it. It is because the source video is in a widescreen aspect ratio (16:9) while your monitor or television is in a standard screen (4:3 or 16:10). To preserve the original aspect ratio and adjust to your screen, the movie image is letterboxed for full-screen playback.

Usually, letterbox mattes are tolerable. Movie producers like to attach captions and subtitles to the matte on the bottom. However, perfect full-screen movie image without any black bars is always preferred. If you are willing to remove the black bars on top and bottom, try Pavtube Video Converter.

Install and open Video Converter and import the source video by clicking Add video icon on top left corner of the interface
Select the imported video and click Edit button, In Crop tab, enable cropping and drag the selecting box on preview window to exclude the mattes. Note that do not check Output Keep Original Aspect Ratio or the mattes will not be removed properly. Keep in mind that removing mattes means changing the aspect ratio that the image would be stretched ,which makes the characters taller and thinner. (Checking Operation Keep Original Aspect Ratio means sticking the selecting box of Original Preview ratio-constant while Output Keep Original Aspect Ratio means literal.) Once finished, click OK.

Click Settings in main panel and choose any output profile you like. We have provided a number of presets for latest devices and formats with optimized bitrate and resolution. Contact us if you have trouble finding your ideal preset and we are pleased to make one for you.

Note: Here i just take video converter as an example. All the products designed by Pavtube Studio have "Crop" function, you can edit any movies you like by using the suitable tool.
Set output directory and start conversion. Enjoy your perfect full-screen playback.

Hope this article Remove the black bars on top and bottom of movies helps. Thanks for reading.
