I'm on last version of cm9. I'm gonna flash update plus updated gapps, I don't need to do full wipe? Just wipe cache and dalvik cache right?

I thought if we did gapps a full wipe was required every time.

yup it should do it as the only changes made in the gapps is the face unlock

a little scared of that idea (face unlock) scenario 1. someone has an 8x10 picture of you. scenario 2. you're horribly deformed in an accident and can never unlock your xoom again. guess i'll just stick with my password :P

So I"m ready to pull the trigger on this and am really excited to give it a shot. Some questions I want to just know about:

    1. after this, I am rooted? If not, can I use existing processes to reroot?
    2. any thoughts on the wireless tether? Can still do like we were rooted? Does the ad hoc patch still work?
    3. the new google wireless testing codes do enable infrastructure tethering I believe, but it starts the VZW page. do the workarounds still work?
    4. and last - is CWM still installed or do I need to find/download/install once again? If I do, what is the best one to use with this build?

    Thank you!!!

This will not give you root, you need to do that first using Universal Root.

You will still be rooted if you already are.
