    Attachments in Email

    Hi. New here. I have my corporate outlook email running through the corporate sync method on the Zoom. My emails come thru fine. The issue is when an email comes in with an attachment. It shows the attachment paperclip on the header but when I open the email I can't find out how to download and open the attachment. I have Quick Office Pro loaded and I was hoping that when I opened an attachment it would use that application. BUT my problem is I can't find out how or where to open the attachment from. The paperclip isn't in the detailed message, nor can I find any files attached.

    Nice email app other than that! Stock Xoom just got it from Verizon.

    Have you tried long pressing the attachment to see if another option appears. I don't use corporate mail so I'm not sure

    OK, So i spoke to Motorola and they suggested a hard reset. I did that and now the header and message contain the attachments. Now the issue is everytime I hit the load button I get a connection error. If I hit the load button a second time the app crashes. If I send myself an email via gmail with an attachment everything works fine. Any suggestions?

    Hmmm. Not sure. You can reset the app by going to settings/apps/select the app and force stop and wipe data. You might tneed to set the account back up though.

    Not sure how you would wipe the corporate sync app. The issue is in the corporate sync app interfacing with an exchange 2007 located on a corporate server.

    There is also an issue with the native email app when you establish a link to yahoo. It sets up fine but then just sits there loading the email. It never returns results.

    Getting a bit frustrating that the only email app that works is Gmail HMMM....... whats that about?????

    For yahoo, you need to set it up manually.

    What do you mean about setting it up manually? After I used the email set up I verified the settings and even checked them with Yahoo tech support and all the server settings match what Yahoo says needs to be set up. Again I get a connection error. I can access the email fine using the Yahoo app. It's the native app within the Xoom that doesn't work.

    It would be more helpful if you explained yourself a bit better instead of single line responses.

    Sorry, was at dinner just checking messages last night when I posted that. Ok to get yahoo working through the stock email client:

    1. Open client and enter yahoo id and password
    2. Go to manual setup
    3. Enter in imap server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
    4. Security type: ssl
    5. Port should be 993
    6. Select enter or done
    7. Outgoing settings
    8. Enter in smtp server: smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
    9. Select enter or done
    10. Account will update
