Stuck at boot screen after trying to "un-root"

    Hi All
I have a xoom wifi only. I successfully rooted it a few weeks ago and have had absolutely no problems with it. When the new 3.1 came out I wanted to unroot it to install the new version. I booted into fastboot mode and flashed the image files for the wifi version provided by Motorola. Upon reboot, it now hangs at the dual core screen. I can reboot it back into fastboot or into rsd mode (it either comes up as mode 0, 2 or 3). I can also get it to load into something called cold booting linux.
Iíve tried many of the fixes Iíve read in other posts (fastboot oem unlock
fastboot reboot) but it can never get past the boot screen.
I cannot send it ADB commands either, it doesnít recognize that a device is there, though I can send fast boot commands.
The drivers appear in device manager and are working.
Any help would be deeply appreciated

you were able to fastboot oem unlock your device?

if you want to go back to stock use fastboot commands here. MOTODEV > Products > Device Software

signup and download your device firmware and fastboot your xoom to stock.

most people make a mistake and really brick the device.

thanks for the quick reply. To restore, I originally did what you mentioned using Build HWI69 - US Retail to restore. Its at that point where the trouble began.

Yes. That's where the problem began. The device hangs after the last locking step.

I followed the instructions from this link: How to unroot and re-lock the Motorola Xoom | Android Central

Substituting in the correct image files for my device.

after the final re-locking I got stuck at reboot, where I am now.

Sorry, how do you power off the xoom. No combination of button pushes will actually cause it to power off. power button + up =rsd mode, power + down = fastboot, power + both buttons = cold boot to linux.
