"Camera error Cannot connect to camera"

I have a stock Xoom, not rooted, have been using it for about a week (so there are apps). I was showing someone the camera.

The front-facing camera was working fine. I clicked on the switch icon so we could see ourselves--and I got a "Camera error Cannot connect to camera" error. Nothing I've done makes the error go away. I can't pull anything up on the net. Any ideas?

I forgot about the soft reset. After a soft reset, it's working fine. Well, at least my embarrassment will be worth it if someone else learns from my mistake.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm glad I found a place on the web where I can find assistance.

I chose the Xoom because it was more powerful and more challenging than the iPad. That may mean I'll have (as the old proverb says) "interesting times."
