Trouble is following me. Stuck rebooting after cpu increase.

Well, I got the Xoom up and running great with Tiamet Kernal and fixed boot loader. I decided to go out on a limb and try to increase my processor speed a bit. I used SetCpu and bumped it up to about 1.5.....It rebooted and then when it got to my Home/Lock screen, about the time I was gonna slide the lock swipe.....It rebooted. And it wont stop. Any help, as always is greatly appreciated....For all of you that I didn't thank personally for the other root issue, Well, THANK YOU!!! I/We appreciate your service to the Droid community.

Did you by any chance do a Nandroid backup? If so, boot into CWM and go to restore. You *did* do a backup before making the change, right?

If not, you may have to reflash the kernel. You can always hook it up and go into CWM to get access to USB support to move and copy the file to your SD card. Go to "Mounts & Storage > Mount USB Storage" and you should hear the USB mount tone and see the Xoom window pop up. I would flash the LaunchPad kernel so it write over things, then you can always go back to Tiamat. You might also be able to just reflash the same kernel file on your SD card - it may work too. But I would lean toward using LaunchPad just to make sure things get over written.

Try that and tell us what happened.

When you boot up your Xoom now are you:
    - Stuck at a particular screen?
    - Getting any specific error messages?
    - Stuck in an infinite boot animation loop?
    Keep on Xoomin'

Also, which kernel file did you download? The latest 1.4.4-1.7? Was it the first or second link (one with Stock GPU or not)? I know the old 1.4.3 had a few versions for different speeds of 1.4 or 1.6, so if you flashed the 1.4 and set your CPU to 1.5, that may give you issues. So let us know which one you used.

A few things you can also try. When we flash ROMs, the devs tell us sometimes to wipe the cache if we get stuck in a boot loop. You can go into CWM and do the following before re-flashing the kernel again.

In CWM, go to "wipe cache partition" and choose Yes.
Then go to "Advanced" > "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and choose Yes.

Then go back and re-flash the kernel and see what happens. If those don't work, the only way I know to get back would be to re-flash the image file and start from scratch like you did when rooting.

If that works, then before you do anything else, get all your stuff set back up and before you do anything else, reboot into Recovery and DO A BACKUP!

    mission accomplished

Thanks again guys, I grabbed the bootloader and got BA ck into CWM. Reflashed the bootloader and Kiamat like you (fish) suggested, and everything worked out. So while I was playing, I went ahead and flashed the Kiamat update. I think I am getting the hang of it now. Thanks again for everyone's help. Rescue Squad Rules!!
